There are a few tv shows that are so easy to watch over and over and never get sick of. It’s very rare for me to feel that way about a show, I can watch movies 2, 3, 4 times, but tv shows, not so much. When I was younger Charmed was that “one” show I could never get tired of watching, maybe part of it was that I had a major crush on Drew Fuller? a.k.a. Chris. Then, growing up that show ended and I was left with this empty space to fill with a new show and that’s when I started watching the best show ever: Gilmore Girls. My mother used to watch it at first by herself then, one day, I watched an episode with her and I soon became obsessed with it.
Sometimes you can relate to a particular character so much that you start thinking that maybe the creator of the show might have taken you as their muse. That’s what happened to me while watching Gilmore Girls. Rory was the one I felt the closest to, not only because of her shyness, love for books and coffee and the fact that she studied journalism too, but most of all because of her relationship with her mother.
Rory and Lorelai have the best relationship a mother and daughter could ever have.
They’re not only mother and daughter, they’re best friends. Usually I can’t relate to tv show characters that much mostly because I like supernatural-kind-of-shows, but with this particular one I was unexpectedly delighted to notice how many things I had in common with Rory. Just like Rory, I can tell my mother everything and anything and she’ll always be there for me ready to listen and give me advice. I am so lucky to have her in my life and I wish everyone had a great relationship with one of their parents or both of them. Having a figure like that in your life makes everyday’s obstacles easier to overcome. What Rory taught me in the long run is that no matter how old you are, you should never be embarrassed to want your mother by your side (remember her first night in the college dorm?)
Hahaha I’m loving it!

Gilmore Girls is also one of my all-time favourites!
I only watched that show recently but I really enjoyed it too!
You even look like you could be related to Rory! 😀 Gilmore Girls is my favorite show to watch in autumn!
My daughter and I used to watch that show together every week! We both loved it. Wasn’t Melissa McCarthy her best friend? Or was that someone else? Anyway, great show. Of course, being the mother, I identified more with Lorelei, especially her quick wit.
