Lately I’ve been feeling much more serene than before, the warmer weather probably is a huge bonus and the fact that I’ve been seeing my friends more than usual also makes me feel blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing people.
The other day while I was downtown Toronto, I met a friend and in between one glass of wine and another we started thinking back at the days when we used to meet up on Saturday mornings to go running in the park (our runs were more of walks, but that’s not that important right?)
So that evening we decided that now that Spring is coming and the days are getting longer we should get back to our old routine, and that’s exactly what we did last Saturday!
What’s been happening lately
I will never stop saying how much I love this city. Whenever I’m here I feel at home and although I’ve been away for more than a year in 2015 I am finally back where I belong.
But anyways, emotional confidentiality moments aside, I woke up on Saturday morning to a nice, bright, sunny day and after saying goodbye to my bed I was finally ready to leave the house.
When we met at our usual spot on Bloor Street West, we started walking towards High Park, we would have never thought that we would be walking for 5 hours! By lunch time we reached Queen Street, probably my favourite street in the city, and we decided to stop for a quick lunch at Terroni
I finally had my first Italian meal after 6 months away from Italy!

After that great meal we decided that we needed to finish it off with a delicious ice cream, we had two reasons that made us decide to go for it: 1. It is the first beautiful day of the year 2. We are going to burn it off anyways right?
So off we went to this new hip ice cream place on Ossington: Bang Bang Ice cream. The lineup to get into this small, little shop was so long, but so worth it! I got the vegan vanilla flavour while my friend got vegan vanilla and chocolate. Yum!
I definitely need to go back to try their ice cream macaron! Yes, you heard me! My two favourite things combined!

So my friends if you are living in the city or are just visiting, I do suggest you try this place out!
All in all it was an amazing day and a nice walk back into my early years in Toronto.
