Thursday Favorite things blog hop #191

I took this photo last Sunday when I was out shopping with my mom and sister. These pink umbrellas tied on strings, moving back and forth as if they were touching the blue sky made me think about the idea that we all have, as individuals, of happiness. Albert Camus once said: You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life. 

Isn’t that true! As a 22-year-old girl, still trying to find my way in this world, I can be completely honest with you and say that I am looking for the meaning of life, my, personal, meaning of life. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy, I smile, I laugh and I have a great time with my family and friends, but there is always that thin veil of melancholy that surfaces in the most unexpected moments.

As human beings I believe we all are in a constant, never ending search of something better, more meaningful and adventurous. I think it’s a positive action and as long as we look for something better we will always move forward, but if you never do reach that final goal, then, have you spent your life running after an ideal dream?
