Lactose-free Strawberry & Banana Smoothie

Happy Easter Weekend everyone! 


I hope you’re enjoying the holidays and are eating lots of chocolate eggs! I know in my house there’s plenty! Today I wanted to share with you a little healthy snack that I have been making myself for the past week and that I have been obsessing over. 

Recently I have been feeling not so good so I decided to see if the problem was related to something I was eating and after doing an elimination diet, I realized that the problem was dairy. Now, I drink rice milk and soy or lactose-free yogurts and I have to tell you that it’s not even that bad because it still tastes good!

This lactose-free strawberry & banana smoothie is good and refreshing and perfect for a post-holiday-detox from those loads of chocolate and foods we are pleasantly forced to eat these days. I went to the grocery store today and all the aisles where they usually store the chocolate were almost empty!

Lactose-free Strawberry & Banana Smoothie
Serves 1
A healthy and refreshing lactose-free smoothie

  1. 1 Banana
  2. 3 Small strawberries
  3. 2 Tablespoons Soy Yogurt
  4. 1/2 cup rice milk
  5. crushed almonds
  1. Pour the rice milk and soy yogurt in a blender, then add the banana cut into pieces and the strawberries and blend all together. Pour into a glass and add sliced or crushed almonds on top for that extra crunchiness.
