These days I’ve really been thinking about Toronto and those snowy, cold, but still beautiful Winter days. By this time, last year, I was wearing my heavy winter jacket and not really caring about what I put on as long as I felt warm. Here in Italy, instead, I’m still wearing leather jackets and light shirts. I’m suffering from nostalgia.
How does that famous saying go? “The grass is always greener over the fence.” Well, it is sometimes true for me. When I’m here, I miss the snow and, believe it or not, the cold, and when I’m there I miss the mild weather you can find only in this place during this time of the year. How come it is so difficult for some of us to live in the moment and be happy with what we have right then and there? there’s always something else, something more that we want, that we think we need and this way of thinking makes us forget about the things we have in front of us. I need to start living in the present instead of always thinking about the future. I sometimes tell myself to focus on what I have in front of me and to come back to reality.
But enough of this.
So moving on, thanks to this beautiful weather we have right now, I decided to wear a leather jacket and to pair it with a simple pair of jeans and a graphic shirt. What really made me decide to put together this outfit are my new boots I got as a birthday present. They have a nice chunky heel which makes them comfortable to walk in for a very long time and they have this cute buckle on the ankle that’s a very nice detail. To take these photos I went back to one of my favourite places early this morning, Castel Gandolfo, and personally I think it’s the best time to go at because there’s almost no one around and you can really take in the beauty of the town, with its houses, old buildings and picturesque square facing the lake.

I used to be totally different when I lived in Thailand… I didn’t think much about the future but lived my live to the max! And now, living in Canada with two babies have made me think twice in every decision… I hope it has nothing to do with age lol well, I would say I have grown up! I’m happy the way it is though. Still enjoy the present and prepare for the future at the same time 🙂
