When you have good friends

When you have good friends, you know you have everything you need. I am so lucky to have amazing, loving and fun friends in both Italy and Canada.What would I do without them? I seriously have no idea!

Thank goodness for the internet, social media and electricity! 

If neither of these things had been invented, I wouldn’t be here, sharing my thoughts, my day to day life moments with you guys, but instead I would be sitting at my desk writing a letter by hand. I would be spending hours staring at a piece of paper waiting for the right words to come through, writing formal letters and hoping to get a fast reply from my friends, a reply I would have to wait for at least a week. 

Luckily we don’t have this problem anymore, social media has made it so easy for us to connect to people leaving as far as the other side of the world that all you need to do is type a “hey” on whats App or Facebook and you get an instant reply from the counterpart. 

On the other hand though, has this instant, fast messaging system made us lazy? Has it made us forget how to write a long, heart-felt, sentimental letter to another person? It probably has or at least has made it a little more difficult for us to write it, but in all honesty, I like the idea of knowing that my friends are able to see my message, know that I’m thinking about them and being able to see their immediate reply.
