Warby Parker is coming to Queen Street West! Yes, you heard me!
You might remember the Warby Parker Spring Collection I talked about back in February, with their amazing line of sunglasses and eyeglasses, stylish and perfect for everyday wear. Well, for my Toronto friends there’s an exciting news I’d like to share with you all, after opening more than 30 retail locations in the U.S. Warby Parker is now ready to expand their brand overseas and they chose to start in my favourite part of Toronto: Queen Street West.
Warby Parker was founded in 2010 by four friends, Neil Blumenthal, Dave Gilboa, Andy Hunt, and Jeff Raider, who got frustrated by how difficult it was to shop for glasses. So they came up with Warby Parker to find a solution to their issue and to prove that a business can help and give back to society. They introduced the Buy a Pair, give a pair program, for every pair sold, they will give a pair to someone in need and so far, over two million pairs of glasses have been donated to people in need.
It’s an exciting time for Warby Parker to come to Toronto, a city that’s been growing and expanding thanks to its vibrant stores and eateries.
“We’re going international!” says co-founder and co-CEO Neil Blumenthal. “And where better to start than with Canada? We’re excited to set up shop in one of the biggest, most diverse, and most cosmopolitan cities in North America. Pass the maple syrup.”
The store is designed with the concept of a classic library in mind. Terrazzo-tiled floors, custom-made brass library lamps, suspended globe lighting, colourful book displayed and the best part? you can even purchase the books in this eyeglasses and sunglasses store!
Warby Parker decided to excite their Canadian customers with new shades of glasses: Durand in Moss and Charmberlain in Jet Black, available only online and in store.

Another great feature that Warby Parker included in their new store is the use of special Snapchat filters! Enjoy your new sunglasses!
