Mark Ruffalo is nominated at this year’s 88th Academy Awards ceremony as Actor in a Supporting Role for Spotlight.
There are many great actors, us, normal people, swoon over thinking that they are way too perfect and untouchable, but for some reason Mark Ruffalo doesn’t give this impression.
Remember the movie 13 going on 30? he played the sweet, loving best friend, and how about Begin Again? One of my favourites, in which he plays a record label executive struggling to find a new artist. Ok, he did cover the role of Hulk, and that is not a role everyone can identify with, but in the most part he fills the roles and gives life to everyday characters. He bring to life characters who are trying to live their lives and find their own paths. He’s down to earth and seems like a humble person, for these reasons I’ve decided to choose him as my first model for my Oscar Looks.
I was invited by Tommy John, a company that creates and sells men’s undergarments, to fill the role of a stylist for a post and create a fashionable look for an Mr. Oscar attendee.
I struggled at first trying to find the perfect gentleman to style, but then a light went on and I thought “why not go for the boy (or in this case the man) next door?”
2016 Oscar Looks: Mark Ruffalo

Mark Ruffalo Oscar Look
Giorgio Armani: Shirt in Cloth, Single-Breasted Jacket, Hugo Boss: Chino Slim Fit, Dolce & Gabbana: Derby Brogue Shoes, Tom Ford: Thick Bullseye Print Pocket Square
I can see Mark wearing something that combines together style and comfort, this is why I chose for him a dressy Armani jacket instead of a blazer, which he can take off when the show begins and he’s comfortably seated. I still wanted him to have some colour in his look and these D&G denim/leather combo shoes work perfectly to give him that playful touch.

Tommy John: V-neck undershirt, underwear, socks
Oh and let’s not forget the first layer underneath a killer outfit! Being comfortable is the main goal when it comes to undergarments!
What do you think about this look? Are you excited for the Oscars as much as I am?
