Baby, it’s cold outside

There are times in life when you’re surrounded by people every day and still feel as if you were completely alone. It’s especially during these times that I am glad to have friends and family members I can count on.

This Holiday season more than any other one before it has been a very tough one to get through. So many things have changed in just a few months and 2016  has probably been one of the most memorable years of my life so far. I didn’t change countries, I’m still in Canada, but a three hour time difference between Vancouver and Toronto makes it seem very much as if I had moved. Thanks to the friends I have made this year and to my old friends which I am so fortunate to have I’ve been able to get through all of this.

Baby, it’s cold outside

One of the greatest things about living in a new city is the feeling of excitement that comes with discovering a whole new place and its treasures. Last week my friend and I went to Capilano Bridge park, a park filled with suspension bridges to be exact! this small little detail didn’t even cross my mind until I remembered far too late that I am scared of heights! But you know what? I conquered my fears and I walked on that bridge and all the other ones around as well and I must say it was all worth the embarrassing crab-style walk I had going on.

During this time of the year Capilano Bridge is decorated with Christmas lights of all kinds and since the park closes at 9:00 p.m. it is worth staying until the sun sets to enjoy the lights and the view at night.

We had the most amazing time and why not stop afterwards for a delicious cup of hot chocolate?

My husband has relatives in Canada and when we went to visit them one summer, we went to that bridge. I was also very scared, but made it across. It looks really pretty with all the lights on it.

Welcome

Ciao!

My name is Erika, I’m 29 years old, half Canadian and half Italian, I am proud of being both and I never introduce myself as only one or the other. I’m based in Toronto, Canada, but you’ll see me travelling all over the world. On this blog I’m going to share my own, personal style, my favourite beauty products and everything and anything I like or just feel like writing about. I hope you’ll enjoy your stay on my blog!
