Here we are, Christmas is now just a couple of days away and we are all ready to spend this day with family, friends and loved ones.
I have to admit, that I personally am not a very crafty being and buying presents for friends is always such a difficult task for me, although when I’m finally done, I’m happy to give them out and see what they think of it. This year I decided to do things a little differently, so I made my own presents with lots of extra love. this is why the post is called DIY Christmas gift ideas made with love. I’ve decided to gift my friends with a little something that’s sweet, delicious and edible and a cute, adorable something that’s durable and that they will be able to use again and again and will think about me first thing in the morning, or even in the afternoon, when they’re taking a break from their busy lives.
The sweet somethings are a variety of delicious cookies, that I’ve been making with my mom during the holidays and the adorable something is a cute festive mug.
The cookies that I filled my mugs with are of different shapes and types, we went all out, as usual, for the holidays and we baked batches and batches of cookies. From the healthy option, my healthy almond cookies, to shortbread and whipped shortbread, truffles, hello dollies, lemon bars and completing the bunch with some nutella chocolate peanut butter bars. I know, aren’t you already dreaming of these?
So here is what I did: I filled my mugs with cookies wrapped in clear paper wrap to keep them all together and then placed them on the mugs and tied the paper with a gold string passing underneath the mugs to keep them from falling. And ta-da! You have a pretty and creative homemade gift to give your loved ones this year!
I am a girl who likes to received store-bought items indeed, especially if it’s a cute top, scarves, perfumes etc. but a DIY gift, made with love, is always the most welcome one of them all. It means that you’ve really put effort and thought in creating something special for that person. Love and caring are, in my opinion, the most wonderful gifts of them all.
I hope I gave you some good ideas.
I love this! A festive and creative DIY project is (IMO) so much nicer than a store bought present. And even better when it’s made with love 🙂 Thanks for this! Happy holidays and hope you enjoy your SITS day!!
