Photo Diary: Road trip to the mountains

Last Sunday I went on a day road trip with my family to the mountains.

The day was super hot and while we drove around looking for small little towns to walk around in, we noticed that they were all completely deserted. There was no one outside and almost every single restaurant and store was closed. I don’t know if it was becomes of the heat or because people go on holidays in August, but I found it a little depressing..

On the other hand we found a cute little lake surrounded by trees and grass that gave me a feeling of peace and calmness. Here we did see some people walking their dogs, laying on the grass and soaking in the sun.

It was a nice time to just relax and enjoy the quietness and beauty of nature.
