I was never neither a cook nor a baker, but this year something changed and I felt the need to start doing something new. My mother is an amazing cook and baker and she’s the one who taught me how to make the best cakes and desserts! Yesterday we can say it was the final test because she really wanted to make this crumble cake, but at the last moment she had to go out so she asked me to make it. Well, usually I always bake when she’s around since I’m just starting to learn how to bake, but she asked me to make it so I thought “why not?” My mother told me to look at it as a test, a challenge, and she knows how competitive I am.
When she came back we took it out of the oven and we took it to my sister’s friend’s house so they could try it. Well, I was a little nervous, but they all told me that it was really good! Maybe I should have baked it a little bit less, but other than that perfect! Mission accomplished!
So after this short anecdote I want to pass to the real subject of this blog post: Frosting.
I usually don’t make cakes with frosting because I’m not crazy about it, but my mom and my sister do so whenever she’s making one I try to help her. She makes her own frosting at home just like the majority of her cakes. Making frosting at home is super easy!
