It’s been a while since I posted my last article on WhatErikaWears.com around a month ago. But I’m happy to announce to you that I’ve been making a few changes to the blog (which are still ongoing) and hopefully it will look much much better!
Moving on to the important stuff, today I wanted to share with you some pictures I took in a lovely town close to where I live, called Castel Gandolfo, a town with view. If the name sounds familiar to you it’s probably not just a coincidence, in fact Castel Gandolfo is where the Pope’s summer residence is located. It is a small town that faces a volcanic lake called Lago Albano. Thousands of years ago this lake was an active volcano, but has been asleep for a very long time, although sometimes there are still small earthquakes caused by it.
It’s one of my favourite towns in Italy, well, I can’t actually say that because everytime I go visit a new town that’s exactly what I say, but Castel Gandolfo is one town that I know pretty well and I like going there for walks. There are many small boutiques in the centre, most of them selling Christian souvenirs. You’ll also find many coffee shops and ice-cream shops.
The view from the square is stunning so I thought why not shoot some photos in a beautiful town? Today I decided to go for a more casual look, with a white tee, a pair of blue jeans and my favourite pair of boots I couldn’t have felt more comfortable.
I also made some cute little friends on the shore and how cool can Italian cats be? One is even sitting on a scooter in front of a restaurant!
