Where’s the Fall?

Where’s the fall? I’m used to those chilly September days in Toronto, walking around with a jacket, wrapped in a scarf and a cute knitted hat and with my trusted Starbucks skinny latte in one hand, but this September everything’s different. Here in Italy it doesn’t feel like fall yet, in fact I’m still wearing tank tops and no jackets! What I miss about Canada, especially in this time of the year are the pumpkins and the vibrant, orangey colours of the leafs falling from the trees. Thankfully I have one of my dearest friends who keeps me posted on whatever is happening overseas!

But I’m in Italy at least for another while and so I’m going to make the most of it! Yesterday I decided to go for a walk on the beach, since I haven’t been there yet this year. The sea really is a beautiful place, so relaxing and peaceful. I prefer going to the beach in the evening, when there’s less people, it’s not too hot and the sunset makes the sea look even more beautiful than it already is. In my opinion it’s also the best time for walks on the shore. All you see are people walking their dogs, joggers and parents playing with their kids.

When I was a kid I couldn’t stand going to the beach, I hated the sand, especially wet sand, but now I love going and the waves crashing on the shore and soaking my feet don’t bother me at all. This is why I decided to write this post today on the blog. I wanted to feature another of my favourite places in Italy before the fall weather hit us too. So here I am, sharing another beautiful moment in life.

I’m definitely not wearing the appropriate ensemble for a walk on the beach, but hey, it was a last minute decision! I’m wearing an all H&M outfit here, the blue blouse I got in Canada a few months ago and I love it, it’s perfect as a work outfit paired with these black jeans that I bought in Italy a couple of weeks ago. I accessorized my outfit with a Guess bag an Aldo Accessories bracelet, a birthday gift I got from a friend in Canada and a Prima Classe necklace. I finished the look with a pair of nude Call It Spring pumps.

  5. Great photos! Funny how the things we don’t like as children we end up loving later. Also, it’s Summer 24/7 in Los Angeles. So we don’t get a transition into Fall either. 🙁 I want to wear sweaters too!
