Transitioning from a day to night makeup look

Transitioning from a day to night makeup look

One thing that I love and that I wish I was better at is applying my makeup.

My makeup routine is pretty simple: I rely on eyeshadows, eyeliner, mascara and lipstick for the most part. For this reason it’s good to have friends that have a better knowledge and interest in some things than you do so that they can help you improve and learn.

For this Day look, we applied the Diorskin Star foundation n10 in Ivory, then we tried the Fenty Beauty match stix Matte Skinstick in Ivory. We added some blush using the Sweet Peach Glow by Too Faced and for the eyes we went for a light and soft tone. To create this light smokey day eyeshadow look we used Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bon palette in Cashew Chew and Divinity shade. From the Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte eyeshadow  palette we used Super mom and to finish off the peachy look we applied the peach cobbler shade from the Just peachy velvet matte palette. We added a thin layer of eyeliner and for the lips we kept it simple by using a nude shade. This one is from Covergirl. Katy Kat matte lipstick in Sphinx.

For this second look I kept the basics of the day look, and added darker, more defined tones. Especially for the eyeshadow. We redefined the eyebrows by using Benefit’s Gimme Brow volumizing fiber gel. For the eyeshadow, we went for the Satin Sheets shade in the Too Faced Bon Bon palette, from the Tarte rainforest of the Sea eyeshadow palette we applied the mermaid and seashell tones. To make the eyes pop more for this night look we also added the peach sangria and just ripe tones that you’ll find in the just peachy velvet matte palette. Since we were creating a night look we decided to try out the new Fenty Beauty match stix shimmer skinstick in Starstruck. And finished off the look by adding Buxom Big and Sexy Bold gel lipstick in Rebel Rose to the lips.

All in all I can say I loved both looks, but I did definitely feel glam and different while wearing the night look. I loved the Fenty Beauty shimmer stix and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes to rock a little shimmer on their faces.
